For demanding environments, check the fitting's IP rating, operating temperature and environmental suitability. Industrial sites can differ significantly, so a fitting suitable for a general warehouse should not automatically be assumed suitable for areas exposed to moisture, dust, chemicals or extreme temperatures.
When selecting an LED high bay, consider the mounting height, required lux level, lumen output, beam angle, fitting spacing and control requirements. Larger projects should be planned around the required illumination across the working area rather than simply replacing existing fittings watt-for-watt.
