ROOF MOUNTED FANS
Roof Mounted Fans for Commercial & Industrial Ventilation
Shop our range of roof mounted fans at Order Electrical, providing dedicated extraction and ventilation solutions for commercial, industrial and larger building applications.
Also known as roof extract fans or rooftop extractor fans, these units are installed at roof level to extract air directly from a building or as part of a wider mechanical ventilation system. Their position can provide a practical solution where conventional wall-mounted extraction is unsuitable.
Roof fans can be used to remove stale air, excess heat, odours and airborne contaminants, subject to the specification of the individual fan and the requirements of the ventilation system.
Typical applications include factories, warehouses, workshops, commercial buildings, plant rooms and other large premises requiring effective mechanical air extraction.
Depending on the model and application, roof mounted ventilation fans may use axial or centrifugal fan technology and are available with different airflow capabilities. The appropriate design will depend on factors including the required air volume and resistance within the ventilation system.
Where a roof fan forms part of a ducted system, the complete installation should be considered, including duct dimensions, bends, grilles, terminals and other components that can affect airflow and system resistance.
When choosing a roof mounted fan, consider the required airflow, fan type, supply voltage, system resistance, control requirements, roof installation method and environmental conditions. The fan and associated roof components should be suitable for the specific installation and exposure conditions.
