CABLE TIES & BASES
Cable Ties, Mounting Bases & Cable Fixings
Shop cable ties and bases at Order Electrical, with practical cable management and fixing solutions for electricians, installers, panel builders and maintenance professionals.
Cable ties provide a quick and versatile method of bundling, organising and securing cables and wiring, making them widely used across domestic, commercial and industrial electrical installations.
Our range can include nylon cable ties in different lengths, widths and colours, together with cable tie mounting bases and other compatible fixing accessories. Different tie sizes allow installers to select an appropriate option for anything from smaller groups of conductors to larger cable bundles.
Cable tie bases, also known as cable tie mounts or mounting bases, provide an anchoring point for compatible cable ties. Depending on the product, options can include self-adhesive and screw-fixed mounting bases for securing cable runs to suitable surfaces, panels and enclosures.
Cable ties and bases are particularly useful for control panels, electrical enclosures, wiring looms, cable management systems, equipment installations and general cable organisation where a neat and controlled cable route is required.
Choosing the Right Cable Ties & Bases
When choosing cable ties, consider the length, width, bundle diameter, tensile strength and environmental conditions. Smaller ties can be ideal for lightweight cable organisation, while wider or heavier-duty ties may be required for larger bundles and more demanding applications.
For outdoor or exposed locations, check whether the cable tie is specifically suitable for UV and weather exposure. Black colour alone should not be assumed to guarantee UV resistance unless this is stated by the manufacturer.
When selecting cable tie bases, check the compatible tie width and consider the mounting surface. Self-adhesive bases can provide convenient installation on suitable clean surfaces, while screw-fixed bases may be preferable where a more secure mechanical fixing is required.
Cable ties should be tightened sufficiently to hold the cables securely without crushing, deforming or damaging the cable sheath or insulation.
